Making of a Minister

Making of a Minister

Ministry is an inward calling, then an outward pouring…

Many people feel a calling to ministry but struggle to know where to begin. Unsure of what ministry truly means to them or where their journey will lead, they often enroll in Bible college or university without a clear sense of direction. Making of a Minister (MoM) is here to help students understand the heart of ministry and guide them in their next steps—whether that’s pursuing Bible college, interning at a church, or serving Christ through a “normal” job. Our mission is to illuminate the path of vocational ministry and support those called to it as they navigate their journey toward serving Yahweh.

What does it look like?

A Day in the Life

Each morning, breakfast will be provided, giving everyone a chance to gather and start the day together. During breakfast, each MoM will have time to reflect on the Word and spend time in prayer. We’ll also have a period to share reflections and pray for the day ahead. By 8:00 AM, those serving in churches will head to their internships, while those serving at the camp will go to the PAC to prepare for the day. To ensure a well-rounded experience, those serving at camp will rotate schedules halfway through the week, allowing them to experience both the camp and church ministry aspects. (Module 1 is more camp-focused, while Module 2 emphasizes church ministry.)

After the Camp Day, all of the MoMs will get a 30 minute break to recoup and rest, before setting up for the next day. Once setup is done, dinner will be served family style in the dormitories. Over dinner each MoM will talk about what they learned that day, and how they can be praying for each other, before having free time until 11:00 pm, where there is a curfew to be in the dorms, and quiet so others are allowed to sleep.

What would you get, walking away from this

The goal of this program is not to churn out fully qualified ministers after just four weeks. Ministry training, depending on the type of ministry one pursues, often takes much more time—sometimes even years. Instead, the purpose of this program is to provide students with a foundational understanding of what ministry involves, how to prevent burnout, and to guide them in identifying their next steps in ministry. We have strong partnerships with several churches and Bible Colleges, and through these connections, we can help students develop a practical, personalized plan for their future. If your church or organization is interested in offering an internship or job opportunity to help continue the MoM’s education and ministry journey, we would love to connect and discuss the possibilities.
