What is Love is a Nail?
Love is a Nail (L.I.A.N) exists as a non-profit ministry that seeks to unite the one catholic Church as the bride of Christ to reach the hurting, the broken, the abandoned and the widows. LIAN exists within, and through the local Church, but is not affiliated with one local Church organization to promote fluidity of the members in the body.
What do we do?
L.I.A.N exists to put together events that youth from all sorts of churches can go to and have fellowship with each other. From an organizational standpoint, we exist outside of the church to allow students to attend, and invite their friends to events where the Gospel will be presented clearly, and effectively, and next steps will be presented. Every month we seek to have an event which students are able to attend, and grow in their relationships with each other, as well as with the Lord. These may be worship nights, they may be fun games, or outings, or they might just be a chill night bowling. We do not replace an individual relationship with Jesus Christ, nor do we replace the local church.
What Do We Believe?
We are an orthodox organization, believing the beliefs that most major organizations believe. We are unaffiliated with any one denomination, however try to be as unifying as possible within our views. However, there are some doctrines that are too important to not clarify. In all things we hold to the Apostle’s Creed, however there are several distinct areas that must be addressed in our local area.
On the Scriptures
The Holy Scripture is the only sufficient, certain, and infallible rule of all saving knowledge, faith, and obedience,1 although the light of nature, and the works of creation and providence do so far manifest the goodness, wisdom, and power of God, as to leave men inexcusable; yet they are not sufficient to give that knowledge of God and His will which is necessary unto salvation.2 Therefore it pleased the Lord at sundry times and in diversified manners to reveal Himself, and to declare (that) His will unto His church;3 and afterward for the better preserving and propagating of the truth, and for the more sure establishment and comfort of the church against the corruption of the flesh, and the malice of Satan, and of the world, to commit the same wholly unto writing; which makes the Holy Scriptures to be most necessary, those former ways of God’s revealing His will unto His people being now completed.4 The authority of the Holy Scripture, for which it ought to be believed, depends not upon the testimony of any man or church, but wholly upon God (who is truth itself), the author thereof; therefore it is to be received because it is the Word of God.5

On Baptism
Baptism is an ordinance of the New Testament, ordained by Jesus Christ, to be unto the party baptized, a sign of his fellowship with him, in his death and resurrection; of his being engrafted into him;1 of remission of sins;2 and of giving up into God, through Jesus Christ, to live and walk in newness of life.3Those who do actually profess repentance towards God, faith in, and obedience to, our Lord Jesus Christ, are the only proper subjects of this ordinance.4

On Church Membership
All believers who profess Jesus Christ must make an effort to attend a church body regularly for discipleship, fellowship, worship, and for the hearing of the word1. All members of the church should make an effort to live in community, and to provide for each others needs as they are presented.
